Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven
    • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
  2. Cook Pasta
    • Boil egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain and rinse with cool water. Set aside.
  3. Prepare Meat Sauce
    • In a large skillet, cook ground beef over medium-high heat, crumbling it until browned and fully cooked. Drain any excess grease.
    • Stir in minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
    • Add sugar and pour in the tomato sauce, stirring until combined. Let simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. Mix Cream Layer
    • In a small bowl, blend the softened cream cheese and sour cream until smooth and well combined.
  5. Assemble the Casserole
    • Place half of the cooked pasta in the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
    • Spread half of the cream cheese mixture over the pasta.
    • Layer with half of the meat sauce.
    • Repeat the layers with the remaining pasta, cream cheese mixture, and meat sauce.
  6. Add Cheese Topping
    • Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top of the casserole.
  7. Bake
    • Bake in the preheated oven for 25–30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Serve & Enjoy
    • Let the casserole rest for 5 minutes before serving. Dish up and enjoy this creamy, cheesy, comforting classic!
