Instructions
- Preheat Oven
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
- Cook Pasta
- Boil egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain and rinse with cool water. Set aside.
- Prepare Meat Sauce
- In a large skillet, cook ground beef over medium-high heat, crumbling it until browned and fully cooked. Drain any excess grease.
- Stir in minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Add sugar and pour in the tomato sauce, stirring until combined. Let simmer for 5 minutes.
- Mix Cream Layer
- In a small bowl, blend the softened cream cheese and sour cream until smooth and well combined.
- Assemble the Casserole
- Place half of the cooked pasta in the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
- Spread half of the cream cheese mixture over the pasta.
- Layer with half of the meat sauce.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining pasta, cream cheese mixture, and meat sauce.
- Add Cheese Topping
- Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top of the casserole.
- Bake
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25–30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Serve & Enjoy
- Let the casserole rest for 5 minutes before serving. Dish up and enjoy this creamy, cheesy, comforting classic!
