Ingredients:
- 2 packets (or 4 tablespoons) flavored jelly (like strawberry, orange, or lime)
- 2 cups boiling water
- 1 cup cold milk
- 1 packet (or 2 tablespoons) unflavored gelatin
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Flavored Jelly:
- In a bowl, dissolve the flavored jelly powder in 1 cup of boiling water. Stir until completely dissolved.
- Allow the mixture to cool slightly at room temperature, then place it in the refrigerator to set for about 2-3 hours, or until firm.
2. Cut the Set Jelly:
- Once the jelly is set, cut it into small cubes (around 1-inch cubes) and set them aside.
3. Prepare the Milk Jelly:
- In a separate bowl, dissolve the unflavored gelatin in 1 cup of boiling water. Stir well until the gelatin is fully dissolved.
- Add the cold milk to the gelatin mixture and stir until smooth. Allow this mixture to cool slightly.
4. Assemble the Mosaic Jelly:
- In a large serving dish, gently mix the cubed flavored jelly with the milk gelatin mixture. Be careful not to break the jelly cubes too much as you stir.
- Once the jelly cubes are evenly mixed with the milk mixture, place the dish back in the refrigerator and allow it to set for at least 4 hours, or overnight, until it’s completely firm.
5. Serve:
- Once set, cut the mosaic jelly into squares or scoop it out with a spoon.
- Serve chilled for a refreshing, colorful treat!
Tips:
- Flavor Variations: You can use any combination of flavored jelly to create a colorful mosaic effect. Feel free to mix different colors and flavors!
- Milk Substitute: For a richer taste, you can replace the cold milk with sweetened condensed milk for a creamier texture.
- Decorate: For extra fun, you can layer different colors of jelly in separate layers, creating a more layered mosaic effect.
This Mosaic Jelly is a simple and fun dessert that’s easy to make and perfect for gatherings, parties, or as a treat for the kids!
