Ham and cheese croissants


1 sheet of puff pastry, thawed (store-bought or homemade)
4 slices of ham
4 slices of cheese (such as Swiss, cheddar, or Gruyere)
1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Sesame seeds or poppy seeds (optional, for topping)
Preheat the Oven:

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Prepare the Puff Pastry:

Roll out the thawed puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface into a large rectangle, about 1/4 inch thick.
Using a sharp knife or pizza cutter, cut the pastry sheet into four squares or rectangles, depending on the desired size of your croissants.
