As the days grew shorter and the evenings cooler, Emily craved warmth and comfort in every meal. With a busy schedule ahead, she turned to her trusty slow cooker to create a dish that would not only fill her home with tantalizing aromas but also provide her with a hearty and satisfying dinner. Thus, her Slow Cooker Chicken & Dumplings with Biscuits was born.


  • 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 2 carrots, peeled and sliced
  • 2 celery stalks, sliced
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough
